*SOLVED* - Intermittent Bluetooth disconnections

SOLVED! – INTERMITTENT BLUETOOTH DISCONNECTIONS

RESOLUTION
Version 8.6g of the VTM firmware as well as the change to the configuration (24.1x and +) to force communication by 4G/LTE correct the intermittent disconnection problems.
If you are still experiencing intermittent connection issues, contact Technical Support to validate that these changes have been applied to your equipment.
The INGtech team would like to inform you of the developments concerning a Bluetooth disconnection problem in service. Our team is actively working to identify the cause and resolve this issue.

Symptoms

Although the connection to a telemetry module is well established and the indicator is green (truck), it can happen that the tablet loses the connection to the vehicle momentarily, without any reason.

This problem occurs when the vehicle is running:
  1. The indicator will turn red for 30s to 2 minutes;
  2. A yellow banner will indicate loss of connection to the ECM, then the connection should automatically recover;
  3. Timing and power diagnostics events will be logged;
  4. The DC indicator will illuminate.


What to do?

You may not realize that this issue is occurring. Know that there is no risk for your data, they are always recorded.
Make sure the Bluetooth connection re-establishes itself afterwards. If this is not the case, at your next stop and the road situation will be safe, please disconnect from your session and re-establish the connection by doing "Connection to a new vehicle".
